Adoption Scenarios

Depending on your situation, your institution can take advantage of the IRB Exchange in one of these ways:

• Adopt or upgrade to the latest Huron IRB solution. This is by far the easiest scenario, involving no programming. You need an IRB Exchange account, and you must configure your sites to work with the IRB Exchange, including getting the appropriate certificates. Get started.

• Integrate the IRB Exchange with your existing Huron Portal-based site. This scenario requires Huron Portal 8.0. The integration is somewhat eased by configuration screens for configuring your IRB Exchange accounts in your store and the provided client libraries that build in Portal-specific communication mechanisms. • Integrate the IRB Exchange with your .NET-based site. The provided .NET client library handles some of the complexity of interfacing with the Web API. Get started.

• Integrate the IRB Exchange with any other system. This involves integrating your system directly with the Web API to handle all aspects of communication. Get started.
